Welcome To Backing Tracks NZ
'The Kiwi place to buy songs'

Without music life would be a tragedy!
Established in 1991, Backing Tracks NZ was one of the first companies to produce Kiwi backing tracks on the CD+G format in New Zealand. From cassette tapes to CD's and now MP3's, the formats have changed but music and great service has always been our focus. Our team of musicians and sales staff are the best in the business and our production is second to none. I sincerly hope you enjoy browsing our website.

Need a famous New Zealand song?
If you need a song for your next TV or radio commercial, or maybe a theme track for your corporate function, we may have an off-the-shelf solution for you. Check out our backing tracks of famous songs by Kiwi artists like Bic Runga, Scribe, Exponents and Crowded House to name a few.

Quality backing tracks
Our talented NZ musicians ensure all backing tracks are of the highest sound quality. We create songs on the Karaoke format (CD+G) so they can be played in a Karaoke machine (you hear the music and see the lyrics on a TV screen) or if played in a normal CD player you will just hear the music. Our music backings are produced by live musicians unlike most studios today that use computer generated music.

Our songs are sung all over the World!
In New Zealand our backing tracks are used in TV commercials, on the Radio, by marketing and advertising companies, singers, singer guitarists, duos, bands, Karaoke operators, tribute acts and vocal coaches. Where ever you find a Kiwi singer and a microphone you'll find our songs! However, New Zealand is a small market and 95% of our backing tracks are produced for companies off shore.

How to buy our songs
You can buy our New Zealand backing tracks on-line through this website. Check out our product page to view our latest New Zealand backing tracks.
